Description Addresses the needs and is open to all persons who self-identify as newcomers * brings people together to build friendships with other newcomers as well as local people who care about and want to welcome those new to Markham 
Groups: (see website for start dates and times) 
Language Cafes - drop-in opportunities where you can practice English with fluent locals and other newcomers  
Life in Canada - 8-week program where participants join a group of other newcomers to learn important things about living in Canada * child care available 
Newcomer Care Group - 12-week session focuses on emotional healing of fleeing homeland or moving to new country * child care available
