Description & Services
Description Professional, affordable and timely Counselling and Group Programs  
 
Counselling helps adults, teens, couples and families with:  
 
-depression, anger, anxiety and stress  
-relationship issues  
-promoting self esteem, confidence, assertiveness and healthy boundaries  
-finding balance in work, life and family  
-family communication and problem-solving  
-ending abuse in relationships, and healing past hurts  
-being the best mother or father you can be, alone or with your partner  
-major transitions – getting married, having a baby, losing a loved one, moving to a new country, divorce, remarriage, changes in health, becoming a young adult, leaving home, and more  
 
The Counselling Team is made up of Registered Marriage and Family Therapists, Registered Social Workers and Registered Psychotherapists  
 
Groups and Workshops include:  
 
Triple-P Parenting Groups for parents, and grandparents, of preschoolers, school-aged kids, & teens  
 
Preparing New Parents for moms and dads expecting their first child, or with children under 18 months  
 
Focus On Fathers, a parenting group just for dads and Reconnecting Fathers, for dads living apart from their children  
 
The Bridge Group For Women, run by and for women, to promote self esteem, assertiveness, strength in relationships and reduce social isolation  
 
Step Family Workshops, a series of workshops on the challenges that parents face in blended families  
 
Divorce Care, a peer support, education group for separated or divorced men and women  
 
Newcomer Women's Support Groups in Korean, Russian and Spanish * topics are chosen to reflect the special interests and concerns of newcomer women  
 
Financial Literacy Program for adults wanting to increase their financial knowledge and skills for budgeting, income tax, saving and investing, borrowing and credit management  
 
All services are confidential, within the limits of the law

- Immigrant Settlement Services; Library Settlement Partnership (LSP) Program; Settlement & - Education Partnership York Region (SEPYR); Job Search Workshops; IN Program - Integration Network (formerly HOST program) 
 
CCYSR is the lead agency at the Richmond Hill Welcome Centre
