Description & Services
Description Supportive care to people of all ages who are living with life-threatening illnesses, bereavement care for family and friends * professional and volunteer support services are provided for clients at home or in the community * Weekly Living Room Program, individual professional counselling for clients with life threatening illness or their family * complementary therapy for client and caregiver, respite for caregivers * caregiver support group  
 
Bereavement support groups include adult drop in groups; Stormy Nights...Sunny Days (grief support group for kids); Circle of Hope (eight week grief support group for adults); and teen groups in partnership with local high schools * provides individual and family bereavement support and a personalized correspondence program * annually hosts the "Coping with the Holidays" seminar and an annual memorial service and dove release 
 
Client volunteer opportunities include: In- home support visiting, the weekly Living Room Program, professionals to provide complementary therapy, support group facilitation

Languages English ; English required at set up services. Evergreen has volunteers that speak a number of different languages. Every effort will be made to match clients with language needs to those with the appropriate language, as availability of volunteers allows.
Fees Donation ; Donations can be made to a particular area of our work. Donations are also appropriate for a memorial, birthday, or other special remembrance. Contributions of any size are appreciated and are considered charitable contributions under the Income Tax Act. Receipts are issued for tax purposes when requested.

Eligibility Individuals with life-threatening illness and their families, their caregivers and loved ones.
Application Referrals are accepted form the client them self, their family, a friend and any professional care provider.
