Become a Mentor and Help Children & Youth to Succeed by Empowering them to Make Good Decisions  
We need Mentors aged (16 to 29 yrs) from the GTA and York Region to provide support/coaching to a youth on a one-to-one basis  
Youth Assisting Youth (The Peer Project) is a non-for-profit organization that gives youth an opportunity to volunteer in their community and share their experiences, skills, hobbies and to inspire younger youth (aged 6-15) to stay on the right track.  
Volunteer Role:  
• Being a Role Model & having fun while engaging in social and/or academic activities  
• Attending FREE attractions such as professional sports, and other events (optional)

We pair you with a child (aged 6 to 15) based on common interests, background and where you live. From there, the mentoring begins, with ongoing support from us. 
You will share experiences, skills, and hobbies and inspire a younger youth to stay on the right track. You can volunteer on your schedule (3 hours per week) and close to home.

Be a friend, a role model and inspire younger youth to thrive 
Participate in recreational activities and share your hobbies & skills 
Hang out and have fun together (kick the ball around, play a board game, explore downtown, ride bikes, etc).

There are numerous volunteer positions available throughout GTA and York Region.
Volunteers will provide guidance, support, homework help, coaching and leadership to youth on a one-to-one basis or in groups like after school programs or academic, recreational or artistic activities. Attend attractions, professional sports events, etc. together. FREE passes/tickets provided (Blue Jays, Raptors, Argonauts, etc.). Scholarships are available. Comprehensive training provided. Young professionals and post secondary students/grads preferred.
